Delhi Alumni Meet 2016
The Delhi Alumni Meet 2016 organized on September 17th was a reverberating success. Over a hundred esteemed alums from different batches attended the meet and we witnessed a euphoric convention where old affiliations were commemorated and invigorated, and new bonds were shaped. Success in refabricating those happy college moments inexorably evolved fond memories and nostalgia in our esteemed alumni present for the event.
The gala evening being graced with a pleasant weather, the celebration commenced with a good luck denotation when our honourable faculties released an enkindled paper lantern into the night sky. We were truly delighted with the amazing turn out ever and Prof. MP Gupta, Professor and Head of Department welcomed the distinguished amass of alums and their family members with his gratifying speech. He impressed upon and congratulated the achievements of DMS alumni in various walks of life and career.
With the impetus of fostering a spirit of togetherness and allegiance, and for promoting the welfare of DMS, the alums were appraised about the first of its kind fraternity to be instituted with the identity of Alumni Association 2016. Then began the felicitation ceremony where alums celebrating their 20 and above years of graduation were honored with accolades. It was a moment of immense pride and exhilaration for DMS when Prof. Gupta felicitated our well venerated alum, Mr. Anand Krishna Rohatgi, VP at Synergy Consulting Inc. for his notable contribution and beneficence towards the growth of his alma mater.
There were loads of other exciting events lined up for the evening which included dance performances by first year MBA students and a stack of impelling games to engage the alums and reminisce their good old days. Towards the culmination of the happening eve, the alumni relished a sit down and bite to eat from the many scrumptious delicacies. The meet ended with a scintillating and impressive performance from one of the exalted music bands of the town “Vivan”.
Summing up the essence of the commemoration, the Delhi Alumni meet 2016 was an accomplishing feat and we can insolently voice that it’s only the first of many more such events planned out for the year ahead.
