Prof. S.S. Yadav

Dr. Surendra S. Yadav is emeritus professor. He was professor from 2002 to 2009 and Professor at HAG level from 2009 to 2021. He received his Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) from Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T.) Kanpur, MBA from University of Delhi, DESS (equivalent to M.Phil.) from University of Paris and Ph.D. in management from University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne, France. He teaches Corporate Finance, International Finance, and Security Analysis & Portfolio Management. His research interests are in all these areas and general management.

He has been delivering lectures at various institutions in India as well as abroad. He has been a visiting professor for short durations every year for many years at University of Paris. He was also invited on different occasions by INSEEC Paris, Paris School of Management and  University of Tampa, Florida, USA. Dr. Surendra S. Yadav has published fourteen books – fourteen in areas of finance and international finance in English, and one on India in French. He has guided 26 Ph.Ds. 169 MBA Major Projects and 24 Minor Projects. He has published 190 research papers in research journals. He has contributed more than 135 papers in academic conferences and five chapters in edited books. Besides, he has published about three dozen articles in financial/economic newspapers and written more than 25 editorials. He is Editor-in-Chief of an international journal, the Journal of Advances in Management Research (JAMR), published by EMERALD, UK.

He has held several administrative responsibilities in the Institute, such as Prof-In-charge-Planning (2003-2004); Head, DMS (2004-2010); CVO (2011-2015); Head, Hindi Cell (2015-2018) etc. He has been either chairman or a member of several committees in the Institute such as Grievance Committee, Oversight Committee, Investment Committee, Four-Member Committee, Manual Committee etc.

He has carried out several sponsored/ consultancy projects. He conducted an online e-learning Executive Development Program in collaboration with Macmillan India Ltd. for several years. Among others, a series of long duration MDPs for Naval officers and a short duration MDP for CIOs of Corporate Sector were highly appreciated. He has been actively contributing to the e-Vidya platform of the Institute to deliver certificate courses through online mode.

He is on the editorial board of half a dozen research journals. He is/has been a member of several committees for selection of personnel and preparation of reports. He has been on academic/administrative bodies of several institutions, such as National Institute of Financial Management(NIFM), DTU, IMT, UPTU, FMS(DU),RGIPT etc..

He has traveled to several countries such as France, UK, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Denmark, Singapore and USA. Apart from English and Hindi, he has perfect command on French language.
