Department of Management Studies, with its futuristic approach in imparting education has provided the students with a unique opportunity of international exposure through its "Global Field Study" program.As a part of its academia curriculum, the students of DMS spent a week at various locations in Netherlands, Belgium & France; exploring new avenues, understanding the European businesses and cultural variations.
The students of DMS were extended a warm welcome by the students of Indian Association at ESSEC Business School. The interaction with the students from ESSEC came out to be quite a fruitful session where the students got to know more on the culture and a lot more information on the international business curriculum.
The session by Prof. Fourcadet on "The impact of IOT on old economy companies" has brought out quite a few interesting phenomenon regarding the impact of IOT on retail and other service sectors with the help of real time data processing systems. The discussion also focused on the role and value proposition of strategy, and how the businesses could benefit with the appropriate adoption of technology into their business model. The classifica-tion of respective actions by the industries based on the short-term and long-term approaches and their level of control over them had given great insights into the approaches of business leaders.
